I dont want to result in posting a picture of Oolong the rabbit every day (though I probably will find some Oolong for you in the future). >_>

That cute 'lil bunny with the pancake on its head brings me into today's topic: Internet fads. I, being one of those nerds without much of a useful social life, have gotten to know some of these quite well. Goodies like "All Your Base Are Belong To Us" and, of course, the ever-so-popular "1337 speak" ('leet (elite) speak for you people that have enough of a social life to not know what 1337 is). Then there are the "FORBIDDEN FADS OF DEATH!", or "shock sites." I have personally seen 2 of the more popular ones, and those are images that I'd pay good money for to get out of my head. Don't worry, I promise you all I will not link you to them, nor will I even name them on this blog.

But to get down to the point: Internet fads are generally harmless (not counting shock sites). Except for the fact that they are the main reason why nerds like myself have no girlfriend, social life, or any sort of street smarts...

Thank you for your time.

PICTURE OF THE DAY:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v642/NYKane/upsfunny.jpg
( email me pictures at vgf.com@gmail.com )

Goodbye for today, and remember kiddies: DON'T DO RUGS!

The Apple iPod. It made mp3 players the big
must-have items they are today. The ability to pump
music out of a tiny little device amazed the masses
and they loved it.

Then came the ever-so-slightly-smaller iPod Mini. The
normal iPod was a MUCH better deal, unless you have
a pocket one inch too small for the iPod to fit in. Then,
you probably bought 5 Mini's at a total of $800 to get
the same amount of memory as a $300 iPod. So, all
were happy.

But not all were happy.

So recently, Steve Jobs thought it'd be cool if he made
an ever-so-slightly-smaller iPod mini. And what comes
after mini? Nano. First of all, its $200 to get a 2GB
iPod nano. You can get a 4GB mini for the SAME price.

--or--

you can get a 4GB nano for $250, or get a 4GB mini
for $50 CHEAPER. The only advantage that a nano
has over the ipod or iPod mini is its small size. But wait?
Is that a good thing? Instead of looking like something
that music should come out of, it seems to me a
decendant of the graham cracker. I want to buy a Nano,
break it in half, slap a marshmallow in it, and invite Jobs
over to tell ghost stories over an open fire. My bet is that
Apple plans to make their money off of repairing these
things AND off of selling them.

My bottom line is this: the Nano looks great and all.
But its as thin as a pencil, as is a ripoff compared
to the Mini, which is expensive compared to the normal
iPod. So the normal iPod is the way to go because: 1)You
cant split it in half while its in your pocket; and 2)You
get MUCH more Gigabytes per dollar.
